Hi
I thought that it would be useful to have a thread where people posted links to useful NZ stamp websites.

A link to my own website appears at the bottom of my postings and so a new link is not needed. However, there are lots of other sites that you may have come across and would like to share.

To start things off, here are two sites:

For members interested in plate varieties of the 1d Universal, 1d Dominion and 1d Lake Taupo, the following website has lots of details of plate reconstructions:
www.stamps4u.co.nz/.

For those misguided people (like me) who are interested in Revenue and Railway stamps, www.ozrevenues.com/ has lots on both. The site concentrates on Australia, but New Zealand Revenues are also there at: www.ozrevenues.com/Revenue-Railway-Local-Perfin-Catalogue/nz-revenue-catalogue.htm while New Zealand Railway stamps are at: www.ozrevenues.com/Revenue-Railway-Local-Perfin-Catalogue/nz-rail-catalogue.htm

Please post links to any NZ stamp sites that you have found useful / interesting to this thread.
Cheers
Bob

My website: "New Zealand Stamp Images" describes New Zealand philately, postage stamps, airmails and postal history.

Re: Post useful NZ stamp sites here

One Australian website I came across has a good selection of modern plate blocks. Also sections on booklets and errors. Worth a look.

NZ Prisoner of War Aerogrammes

Came across this one frame exhibition of NZ PoW Aerogrammes.

Put together by Jerome V. V. Kasper but buried in a web site dealing with aerogrammes.

www.aerogramme.com/exhibits/nzpow/overview.html

last updated, apparently, in 2004 but very nicely presented and worth a look.

New Zealand Newspapers

Hi
It is not a stamp website, but

paperspast.natlib.govt.nz

has many New Zealand newspapers online and is a useful primary source for postal historians. Most of the papers are nineteenth century, but the Evening Post (Wellington) is up to 1945. I have found it very useful.
